Whittington Falcons shooting for success thanks to St. Modwen Homes

The Under 13s team at Whittington Falcons Football Club have kicked their old kits into touch thanks to generous sponsorship from St. Modwen Homes.

The housebuilder, which is building new homes at its Branston Leas development in nearby Branston, has provided brand new shirts and shorts for the junior team.

The club, which is based in Whittington near Lichfield, was established 30 years ago and currently has 33 teams ranging from under 8s to over 35s.

Kelvin Rowland, U13s team manager at Whittington Falcons FC, said: “We often have to rely on the support of volunteers and generous sponsorships from companies, so we are really grateful to St. Modwen Homes for funding the new team kit. Our club provides people of all ages in Lichfield and the surrounding areas with a chance to develop as footballers and people as well, and our Under 13s certainly look the part now!”

Gillian Sabin, sales and marketing director at St. Modwen Homes, added: “It’s important for us to build successful relationships within the communities we work, so we were pleased that we could get involved with Whittington Falcons FC. We’re glad the new kits have gone down so well with the young team, and we’ll certainly be keeping our eye on their results!”

Branston Leas, off Hollyhock Way, is part of a wider regeneration project by St. Modwen, which once complete, will feature a range of shops, children’s play area, a community garden at Branston Square and Branston Leas Woods, which will be part of The National Forest. It is also just two miles from Burton-on-Trent town centre.

The marketing suite and showhomes at Branston Leas are open daily from 10am to 5.30pm. For more information, please call 0330 058 6500 or visit www.stmodwenhomes.co.uk, follow the housebuilder on Twitter and Instagram @StModwenHomes or like the Branston Leas Facebook page.
